Description

Visible to the naked eye as a 4.5 magnitude "star", 47 Tucanae or Ngc 104, is the second brightest globular cluster in the sky after Omega Centauri. It appears nearby the Small Magellanic Cloud but it's not related, being part of the Milky Way. In this LRGB view, processing was kept as similar as possible to the eyepiece view, trying not to overexpose the bright core yet enhancing the outer regions of the cluster.
